Minister lauds Borno as Nigeria’s most resilient state

The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, has hailed Borno State as Nigeria’s most resilient state, noting its remarkable ability to overcome adversity and rebuild after years of conflict and hardship.

In a statement signed by Special Assistant on Media, Rabiu Ibrahim, the Minister made the remarks in Maiduguri on Wednesday during a courtesy visit to the Deputy Governor of Borno State, Alhaji Umar Isa Kadafur, as part of activities marking the meeting of the All Progressives Congress Commissioners of Information Forum.

“Borno State is clearly Nigeria’s most resilient state, against the backdrop of the severe challenges it has experienced in the last decade,” the Minister stated.Related News

He commended the people of Borno for their unwavering courage and determination, describing them as a symbol of Nigeria’s collective strength and endurance.

“The people of Borno State symbolise the strength and staying power that Nigerians are imbued with. It is therefore appropriate for all other Nigerians to not only praise the citizens of the state but speak proudly of their ability to overcome challenges,” Idris said.

The Minister’s visit underscored the Federal Government’s recognition of Borno’s steady recovery and the resilience of its people in rebuilding communities affected by years of insurgency.
