On Thursday, October 24, 2024, Nigeria’s national airline, Air Peace, marked its 10th anniversary—a milestone that stands out in the nation’s aviation industry.
Having received its Air Operator Certificate (AOC) in 2014, Air Peace began scheduled flights that same year. Since then, it has steadily climbed, surpassing many initial expectations.
This remarkable achievement is largely credited to its dynamic CEO, Dr. Allen Onyema, whose leadership has defied the challenges typical of Nigeria’s aviation sector. While other airlines—such as Bellview, Chanchangi, Med-View, Oriental, Sosoliso, and Okada—have come and gone, often leaving travelers disappointed, Air Peace continues to inspire confidence among Nigerians.
In many ways, Air Peace has demonstrated that it is here to stay, ready to grow and address part of the gaps in the airline sector.
