The Nigerian Liquefied Natural Gas Limited (NLNG) and the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) have announced the successful completion of an advanced training program for 122 Nigerian graduates and vocational trainees. This initiative is part of the Human Capital Development (HCD) program under the NLNG Train 7 Project.

- Objective: The program is a federal government initiative designed to build local capacity and equip young Nigerians with the technical skills needed to excel in the oil and gas industry, in line with the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry Content Development Act.
- Training Focus: Over three months, the trainees received hands-on, on-the-job experience at the NLNG plant in Bonny Island. The training covered critical areas such as plant and facility management, instrumentation, electrical and mechanical systems, and fabrication.
- Partnership: The program highlights the strategic collaboration between the NLNG and the NCDMB. The NCDMB approved the trainees for the advanced phase after they had completed prior basic HCD training programs.
- Outcomes: According to a statement from NLNG, the program was completed with a “zero-incident safety record,” and it produced a pool of skilled and globally competitive professionals. Notably, six exceptional participants were offered automatic employment by one of the training partners, AOS Orwell.
