Edo gov sacks education board chair, names replacement

Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo State has removed Dr. Maureen Ekhoragbon as the Chair of the State Senior Secondary Education Board.

The announcement was made in a statement by the Secretary to the State Government, Ikhilor Musa. The statement did not provide a reason for the dismissal.

Dr. Rita Otibho Erewele was named as Dr. Ekhoragbon’s replacement. Dr. Erewele is an experienced educationist with over two decades of experience in Nigeria’s education sector. She holds a Ph.D. in Educational Administration and Planning from the University of Benin.
